www.operationunplugged.com allowed viewers  to take on missions and earn points and the opportunity to win prizes.

A number of our members participated, here is the collection of video responses for each of the six video missions.

Mission 1 - Shelters

Operation Unplugged Video Mission 1 - Shelter
All about tents, and improvised shelters.

Alan Bishop shows you what to look for in a tent and what to do if you're out in the woods and without a tent. Watch, learn and share this video with your friends. Then it's improvisation time...

Watch the video, then make an improvised shelter of your own while you keep the camera rolling and then upload your video response

Mission 2 - Headlamps

"Look Ma! No hands!" In the war between flashlights and headlamps, Alan Bishop shows you how headlamps win "hands down" when in the wilderness. Watch the video, share it with your friends and then record as many uses for a headlamp you can come up with.

Watch the video, then find a unique use for a headlamp while you keep the camera rolling

Mission 3 - Sleeping Bags

Know what a temperature rating is for sleeping bags? Before you go out on an overnight trip, you should find out. Watch Alan Bishop explain what it is and how to care for your sleeping bag. Then video yourself stuffing a sleeping bag into a stuff sac. www.operationunplugged.com

Mission 4 - Food and Fuel

Alan Bishop explains the importance of "fueling up" when out in the bush and we don't mean on gasoline. Types of portable stoves, pots, and food sources get the run down. Watch and share the video, then video yourself showing what different foods can fuel you up on the trail.

Mission 5 - Watches

Watch the video, use a stop watch to climb 5 flights of stairs to record your time while you keep the camera rolling and upload your video to the Operation Unplugged YouTube Channel to complete this mission.

Mission 6 - Hydration

What's the easiest way to fail out on the trail? Neglect to pack enough water. Alan Bishop shows you a bunch of different ways to stay hydrated while you're far away from any tap. Pick up a few hints from watching the video and remember to share. Then upload video of you purifying some H2O.

Mission 7 - Favorite Parks Canada Memory

Mission Description: Bring out the natural storyteller in you! Minister of the Environment, Peter Kent has challenged you to share your favourite Parks Canada Memory in this video mission. Watch the video, share it with your friends and then record and upload your own favourite memory from our National Parks, National Historic Sites or National Marine Conservation Area.
