Latest News
Winter is now over. Time to dust off the gum rubbers and get 'em mucky on the trails. The caches will
soon be sprouting from their winter hiding places and looking like nice spring flowers, ready for picking.
It is now time to get out of the winter cabins and out enjoying this wonderful time of year. Just think of
all the caches you can find and not get bitten by those summer pests.

We have a new Executive Committee now so special thanks goes out to the old one for their excellent
work last year and congratulations to the new Committee.

They are:
  • Dragonflys (chair)
  • Lost Geek (vice-chair)
  • thecyr (treasurer)
  • mark&beth (general officer)
  • Oceancloud (general officer)
  • El Nimrod (PEI Officer)
  • Stagunner (NS Officer)

ACGA is looking for some track files!
In the ACGA downloads section, we have a Maps & GPX category where you can find track files for many trails. We are looking for new track to add. The only requirement is that the files are to be sent as GPX files and does not contain any geocaches, but can include many other POI. Safety in the Spring
We all know that the snow and ice are almost all gone, but there is still the possibly of danger and injury
when out in the woods.

Those nice frozen trails and swamps are now becoming mucky quagmires, You should be careful when
taking steps of the beaten path. One never knows how soft or firm the ground may be and you could
end knee deep in a mucky mess. This could lead to a soggy boot or a twisted or even broken ankle. So
be careful, and bring an extra pair of socks in your back pack for the soaker.

East River posted a note in the forums about the dangers of ultraviolet rays. Yes the sun is beginning to
become warmer and a lot brighter. We should always wear the correct sun protection whether it is
protective clothing (wide brimmed hats, sunglasses etc) and lotions. Protect yourself and your little
ones from the nice but potentially harmful rays of the sun.

If you have any suggestions for the next newsletter send stagunner a note.
Have a great and fun filled Spring.

Regards,
The Atlantic Canada Geocaching Association Newsletter Team.
