The weather did not cooperate but nine brave geocachers braved the rain to clean up the trails around Bayers Lake on June 6th in Halifax , Nova Scotia.
This event was sponsored by Atlantic Canada Geocaching Association and Environment Canada as a project to celebrate Canadian Environment Week. Gloves and garbage bags were passed out to the CITO participants.

The ACGA and Environment Canada have been partnering to host CITO events over the last two years. Environment Canada has also developed a pilot project called "Geocache your Watershed" for schools across Canada.
A couple of groups broke out and attacked both sides of Bayers Lake as well as the abandoned rail line near Lovett Lake.
After a couple of hours of cleanup, the participants returned to the base camp at the Amirix Systems parking lot for coffee and snacks as well as ample swag provided by Environment Canada and 3Geeks.ca for their efforts.
